Northamptonshire Cllr.Peter Dixon, Cabinet Member for Community Services presenting long service Governor Award Certificate to Jatish Shah who is a Accident Analysis Technician and a long time Oshwal committee member.

Jatish Shah was one of the long serving school governors who received the award on 7 th.October at a lavish evening at Saints Rugby Ground – Northampton . Events like this are important to emphasise that governors are appreciated and valued.

Jatish has served 3 schools on a continuous basis for last 20 years and is still an active Governor at local NSG. Some of the many issues he has got involved are Resources and Fund Raising, Road Safety Schemes, Transport Arrangements, Equal Opportunities Policy, Religious Education / Cultural Awareness, School ICT and other Curriculum matters. Over the years he has helped many students and families on personal and confidential matters. This work gives him a lot of personal satisfaction and involvement. He would highly recommend to anyone, especially people from Oshwal Community with wider and diverse back grounds to become a School Governor and contribute.

He became an elected parent governor when his two daughters were starting school and who are both now University Graduates. He feels very proud of his voluntary contribution to the school and community work.
