North Area Report - April 2005

Deraser Funding

A few years ago North Area Management Committee had pledged £13435 towards Deraser Project. This amount had been placed in a suspense account as the project was delayed. However the project is now moving ahead and we are required to release the funds accumulated in this suspense account.
The present North Area Management Committee looked at the various schemes of Deraser project to ensure that the release of funds would have due acknowledgement for our area members. After careful consideration the Committee chose the scheme for 1 takti of the 24 Tirthankar at a pledge of £15001. An amount of £1566 from religious surplus at Paryusan festival of 2004 was transferred to the suspense account to make the total pledge of £15001.
This takti for one of the Tirthankar will be acknowledged as “donation by North Area Members”.

North Area Committee members are currently visiting households to raise donations for the Deraser Project. The task of visiting each household is quite mammoth and it is possible that all households may not have a visit before the final date for pledges of some schemes. For members who wish to pledge for particular scheme please contact our area fund raising coordinator Mr Ramnik Shah
